Discover Lamoille County! Home to Vermont’s highest peak – Mount Mansfield.
We have annual events like craft shows, the annual Balloon Festival; the British Invasion; antique and car shows, harvest festivals, sporting events (think bike, ski and running races), parades and art exhibits. Our area is also known for outdoor sporting activities including boating, hiking, skiing, biking, soaring, ballooning, horseback riding, snowmobiling, ATV riding, and walking tours. The Rail Trail (a walking, biking trail that follows the old railroad bed) will be completely opened in the near future (2015-2016) in the meantime there are areas of the trail that are open … a wonderful option for outdoor exercise.

I’m Ken Roberts and I am the sole owner and operator of Bert’s Boats. In 2005 I took over the oldest canoe and kayak company in Vermont, Smugglers’ Notch Canoe and Kayak Tours, founding Bert’s Boats. My goal was to create a rental and touring company in the heart of Vermont focused on fun, adventure, and exceptional customer service. Today, we’ve reached that goal – we’re the highest rated company of its kind in the area – with guests consistently praising our flexibility and friendliness.
When we started we had a fleet of 20 canoes and kayaks. Since then our fleet has doubled in size and we’ve added Stand Up Paddle Boards. We’ve put school groups of 75 on the water and people from as far away as Turkey. Business People Vermont recently wrote an article about us highlighting our commitment to customer service and unique, flexible tours. We love what we do and we highly value our customers – our goal is to make your paddling experience first-class for years to come.
Give us a call today and we’ll help you, your family and friends, enjoy the beauty of Vermont’s waterways.

A few years ago we took up the plan to create something truly unique for our little town, and indeed the entire state: An 8-lane bowling venue that’s not your regular alley but something a little more boutique, swanky, cozy, comfortable, loungy, and elegant. Great food, a full bar serving anything from Shirley Temples to White Russians, a lounge atmosphere, and a state-of-the-art audio-visual experience will all complement the good old family sport that everybody knows and loves. We worked really hard to achieve our goal, and the rest is history. Come check it out for yourself!
Our menu features a tasteful blend of appetizers, fritters, bites and grabs to share (or not to share), as well as regular entrees. We expect you’ll be pleasantly surprised by our excellent menu choices! And our top Stowe bartenders will craft you a unique cocktail if you like, or just serve you one of the many national and local beers (we’re looking at you, Heady Topper!) on our drinks menu.
We’ve created it right here at the Sun & Ski Inn and Suites, but are open to the public. We look forward to welcoming you at Stowe Bowl!
